Options Health Care Services

The importance of community

Options Health Care Services recognises the importance of community, of care, of supporting and influencing how people live within their communities now, in the past and in the future. Options Health Care Service has its Head office in Stevenage; we are the local independent care providers of choice.

Our flexible, holistic approach to health care enables us to provide a comprehensive support service for respite or emergency situations - often a preferred alternative to moving into residential care.

This can be a simple drop-in service or more comprehensive 24-hour live-in care, depending upon the requirements of the client and their family.

Our Values

To hold the belief and faith in ourselves to deliver excellence in everything we do, leave our ego at home and be the best we can be, every day.
Respecting the right of service users through self-determination and Independence, whilst continuously promoting engagement, participation and involvement to reduce isolation.

All In
Team work is key. We are all In together… Here for our clients and here for each other.
Focussing on a person centred, holistic approach.  Understanding each service user in the context of family and community whilst identifying and building strengths of service users and   sustaining the people who care for them.
Life happens, mistakes occur – through failure comes success.
We access. We try. We Succeed. We Overcome. We learn. We grow.

Personal growth is not only supported but encouraged.
To be the best, we need the best, so we support the best - recognising excellence and empowering individuals.

We take the time to reflect, analyse, plan, improve and implement.
Choice, Dignity, Privacy, Safety, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We also hold on the 6 Cs of the health and social care:
Care, Compassion, Competence, Commitment, Communication, Courage

With the right care and support, those with conditions and illness can remain living safely in their own home rather than moving into a care home.

The vast majority of our care workers have experience in condition led care and many lean towards caring for those with a certain condition for which they have many years of experience or even specific training.

Our care service is person centred and flexible – we work with you and your family member/advocate to choose the right care practitioner to look after you and when they are there to help. Our care practioners can be there during usual working hours around 8 – 6, overnight, or live in to provide round the clock care so that you have peace of mind 24 hours a day.

Kind, caring and supportive - We really couldn't of asked for more.

Mr D

End of life care includes palliative care. If you have an incurable illness, palliative care will make you as comfortable as possible by controlling pain and other distressing symptoms, while providing psychological, social and spiritual support for you and your family or carers. This is called a holistic approach, as it deals with the "whole" person rather than just one aspect of care. You may receive palliative care early in the course of your illness, together with other therapies to treat your condition, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, before you are considered to be nearing the end of your life.

Options Health Care Services can help ensure that a client is comfortable and supported within their home environment.

We have partners in the training sector that provide the right and appropriate for our carers on how to manage a client in such a situation.
